Data processing inside the MEGAN software is governed by separate data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR concluded with our customers. This policy covers this website only.
Server Data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted by your internet browser to us or to our web hosting provider. These so-called server log files include the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the pages of our website that you visit, the date and time of each access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used.
This collected data is stored temporarily, but not together with other personal data.
This storage is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality, and security of our website.
Data processing takes place on servers in GDPR-compliant EU data centers. Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all data center operators.
The data is deleted after seven days at the latest, unless further retention is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is partially or fully exempt from deletion until the final resolution of an incident.
Contact and demo requests
When you contact us by e-mail or through the form on our demo page, we process the details you provide (name, e-mail address, company and, if you enter them, phone number, further details and your message) to answer your request. After you send the form, we send one automatic confirmation to the e-mail address you entered. To protect the form against misuse, we briefly process your IP address.
We send and receive e-mail with Microsoft 365, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data is stored in the EU. Where Microsoft transfers data to the USA, this is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering requests and in protecting the form against misuse). The data will be deleted once your request has been fully processed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Provision of Personal Data
The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. You can generally use our website without providing any personal data. For a request through the form, we need your name, e-mail address and company. Without them, we cannot reply.
